Gaza – Press House
On Thursday, February 4, 2021, Press House – Palestine (BAS) concluded the first training course of Comprehensive Journalist Program for 2021 within the “Strengthening Free and Independent Media in Palestine” project activities funded by the Norwegian and the Swiss Governments.
With consideration of high preventive measures to prevent the outbreak of COVID19, fifteen graduates from media colleges in the Gaza Strip participated in the Journalistic Editing program.
Mr. Hassan Jaber, a journalist in Al- Ayyam newspaper and the trainer of the course, reviewed his journalistic experience and explained the arts of journalistic editing such as news, reports, journalistic stories, analysis, and investigations. Moreover, he emphasized on integrity, objectivity, and professionalism that journalists must care about through their career.
The course included theoretical and practical sides, so all trainees were able to prepare and write a journalistic report to be published on the Sawa news agency.
It is noteworthy that the comprehensive journalist program is an intensive and continuous training held for one month. This program includes four consecutive training courses in “Journalistic Editing, Photography, Journalistic Reporter, and TV Reports Production.”
