The Press House - Palestine in its headquarters in Gaza has hosted a training course entitled "Media Education", which was implemented by “WECAN” Foundation for Integrated Services from June 23 to 26 Jun 2019, with the participation of a group of media college graduates and activists interested in the media field.
Salah Skaik, the Director of the “WECAN” Foundation, stressed that the course aims to raise full awareness of media and tools to the journalists and activists to enable them to deal professionally with the media sites and platforms of social media. He pointed out that the training comes to enhance the media culture of male and female participants.
The three-day course included three main topics. On the first day, the journalist Muhanad Dalloul spoke about the fundamentals of media and the qualifications required for to become a journalist.
The second day dealt with coping mechanisms in radio and voice commentary, reviewed by the journalist Mohammed Al-Lalla.
While on the third day, Mr. Gharib concluded the course by talking about self-marketing and seek opportunities through social media platforms and the mechanisms getting jobs by using media content.
In turn, the coordinator of the “WECAN” Foundation, Mohammed Hasanein, said that the course was very well received by the participants, who expressed their appreciation for the content presented.
He also thanked the Press House for hosting the training course and appreciated its role in supporting the independent and purposeful media activity.
