On Sunday 26th of May 2019, the Press House-Palestine organized a dialogue meeting with all the media blocs, frameworks, and institutions, in addition to the journalists' Syndicate in order to discuss all the issues that concern the press body and efforts needed to unify it.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the House of Press, Mr. Bilal Jadallah, welcomed the attendees, stressing that the purpose of this meeting is to discuss all issues of interest to the press body and strengthen efforts made to unify it.
Mr. Jadallah explained that the Press House always pursues to unify the press body through dialogues and meetings in order to reach a home that gathers all journalists as well as promoting freedom of opinion and expression.
The participants discussed the arrangement of future press work mechanisms based on joint cooperation, stressing the rejection of any differences for the unity of the press body and the defense of journalists.
The meeting also touched upon the elections of the journalists’ Syndicate scheduled for November, which was the main issue during the discussion.
The gathered participants stressed the need for a continued dialogue between the frameworks and institutions and the syndicate to lay the groundwork for the elections.
During the meeting, some initiatives were presented, where it was agreed to continue discussing this important issue during the coming period.
The meeting looked forward to a unified syndicate to represent the entire press groups.
