Press House concludes a training course on "The Arts of Writing News Story"

On Thursday 11/10/2018, Press House - Palestine concluded a training course entitled "The Arts of Writing News Story".

Journalists Alaa Abu Aisha lectured at the training course, which lasted for 5 consecutive days and 25 training hours, targeting 15 trainees from both sexes working in the field of journalism and media.

The training course dealt with several topics, the most important of which is the definition of the news story, its beginning, the causes of its appearance, its elements and the conditions must exist in order to write in proper form after the having a good knowledge of the issue to be written about.

The course included presenting samples for news stories and a template ready to help trainees write their story.

During the course, each trainee prepared a story to be discussed and evaluated during the course. In the end, the first three winning news stories were announced and got awards presented by the Press House.

It is worth mentioning that this course comes as part of the capacity- building program within the activities of "Enhancing freedom of expression, the Quality and Independency of Palestinian Media" program, which is funded by the Norwegian and Swiss governments.
