Press House Opens " A Step Towards A Better Education"

Gaza, 19/02/2018---- Press House-Palestine opened " A Step Towards a Better Education" Project, funded by Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Foundation on Monday.

The introductory workshop was attended by Mr. Belal Jadallah, the Head of the Press House, Mrs. Wafaa Al-Shataly, Head of Teacher Creativity Center, Ms. Doha Musaddar, Representative for Rosa, Rashid Abu Jahjouh, Head of Planning Department at the Ministry of Education, Kamal AL-Hendawy, Head of Evaluation Unit at Education Sector- UNRWA.

In his speech, Mr. Belal Jadallah welcomed the attendees and talked then about the role that the Press House is playing in supporting media youth and crucial media issues, where it implements several media projects.

Jadallah also briefed about the project " A Step Towards a Better Education", explaining that it aims at shedding the light on the education problems in the Gaza strip through data collection process, where 20 selected participants of both genders will work on this process after they are trained by specialists.

In her turn, Mrs. Wafaa Al-Shataly, Head of TCC Center, confirmed " What connects media and education in a purposeful experience like this, aiming at enhancing the educational knowledge for media youth, ensures the involvement of media in education. This project also facilitates the change that the Palestinians wish to make especially within years of siege and oppression obviously affecting education sector.

During the meeting, the project stages and its implementation mechanisms were presented by Wedyan Shaat, the Project Coordinator.

The door of discussions was opened for attendees for questions, comments and requests.
