Gaza, 20/12/2017- The Cultural Club of the Press House- Palestine organized a cultural meeting in cooperation with the Palestinian Critics Association at the Press House headquarter in Gaza city.
The meeting discussed the literary experience of the great author and novelist Mr. Abdullah Tayeh, in the presence of Dr. Abdullah Al-Buji, Head of the Palestinian Critics Association, Dr. Atef Abu Seif, an Author and Novelist and a number of Palestinian writers and novelists.
Dr. Abu Seif talked about the experience of the author and novelist Tayeh, who started writing after Al Naksa in 1967, as writing at that time was considered as a commando operation. He said that Abdullah Tayeh's stories had a kind of connection between his literature and the collective story, as he produced a favorable literature for people.
Moreover, Mr. Tayeh talked about his literary experience throughout the years from 1967 till now, as he began as a "story writer," the most important challenges facing the authors, and the most prominent literary works he published.
Furthermore, Mr. Tayeh presented experiences for previous and current authors whose works deserve to be studied and criticized, considering that the authors of the twenty one century present valuable works, and contact with the previous generation on the creative, artistic and narrative lines.
In addition, the author believed that the novel should contain a new form "as much as possible", a new content, and provide things connected with the artistic techniques in the novel and not just a narrative narration, noting that each novel was problematic in either content or form.
Finally, Mr. Tayeh noted that he was keen to make the general subject in his writings national such as the camp and suffering, and people's aspiration to have an effective literary movement.
