Press House and University College Hold a Media Day about

Press House and University College Hold a Media Day about

The University College for Applied Science held a media day in the presence of 140 students of photography on Tuesday in cooperation with the Press House at Commodore Hotel in Gaza City.

In his turn, Belal Jadallah, Head of Press House, thanked the University College for Applied Science for this cooperation that aims at delivering a purposeful message.

Jadallah stressed on the necessity of forming objective media away from factionalism, hoping the Palestinians are united enough to defend the Palestinian cause.

He also noted that it's essential to focus on creating new media generation that's cultured, aware and able to advocate for their issues in an effective way.

Jadallah talked about the necessity of learning English, as it's a strong weapon to address the international media and deliver the real image of international communities.

In his turn, Dr. Wael Abdel Aal, Head of Literature and Humanitarian Science, talked about the goals of the University College and its work of the practical side not even the theatrical.  

Abel Aal mentioned some of the success stories achieved at the University College, where so many students got job opportunities, expertise exchange, internships and so many succeeded in creating their own jobs.

Abdel Aal thanked the Press House for supporting this especial activity.

Mr. Mohammad Al-Baba opened the first session of the day, giving some pieces of advice to the photographers when taking photos and overcoming the obstacles they face.

The session also included a speech for the international photographer Khalil Abu Hamra, who talked about the morals and laws of journalistic photo. Abu Hamra noted to some problematic challenges the photographers fall in.

In his turn, the photographer Asmaa Nassar talked about her successful experience in photography, and the beginning of her project " opening a studio. " Inspiration is the key to success for any photographer." Asmaa Added

Abdallah Al-Daly talked about his experience in photography and the turning point of his life in this field.

The second session was opened by a speech for the Academic Fayez Abu Salha, who talks about the role of multimedia in technology period and how the video became an essential tool in media.

In her turn, Huda Naim talked about her success story in media and how she overcame the challenges of being  a female in a conservative society.

The meeting was concluded with a number of recommendations, spread out in University College- photography department.

At the end of the day, Mr. Mohammad Al- Baba opened the photo exhibition, which its photos taken by the students of the college.

Worth noting that this meeting is part of " Journalists Capacity Building" Program, within media initiatives supported by the Press House.
