Gaza, 12/11/2017--- Press House concluded a training course entitled " Training Potential Female Columnists". Dr.Atef Abu Said, Writer and Novelist, led the three-day course, which was for a total of 15 training hours.
The course targeted 12 female journalists, trained them on writing articles and the basics of the effective writing.
It covered the basics of writing, the kinds of writing- opening, column, analyzing, and the daily articles. The course also included the basics of writing to audience and the main differences between the materials of telling news and reporting.
Dr. Abu Saif stressed on the importance of reading and addressing the reader, since there will be no writers without readers.
The course also included practical tasks like writing about various subjects, where each trainee has been commissioned to write submit one article as a final output of the course. The articles will be published on Sawa Agency for news after a little time of the course completion.
On the third day, the trainees thanked the Press House for holding such courses like this, and asked the administration of the Press House to extend the days of training to include another stage of writing.
The trainees have been awarded certificates of accomplishment, where the trainer praised all the efforts of the trainees devoted throughout the three days of the course.
Worth noting that the training course came within " Capacity Building Program", and one of " Enhancing Freedom of Expression, Democracy& Independency of Palestinian Media" Project, funded by the Norwegian and Swiss Governments.
