Gaza, 06/11/2017--- The General Federation for woman and other female organizations and groups organized a tweeting campaign on social media, took place in the Press House- Palestine within the activities of " 100-year-Balfour Occupational Project", condemning Balfour Declaration.
Tens of social media activists participated in the campaign, condemning Balfour Declaration, through which the British gave the Jews the right to establishing a land on Palestine.
Belal Jadallah, Chairman of Press House, welcomed the attendees, confirming that defending and advocating for the Palestinians' rights is a national right, and we'll keep defending it with all possibilities.
He followed; " we will keep shedding the light on this issue."
" We always feel helpless to do something for the struggle role of women in all aspects of life." He added
In her turn, Bessan Abu Jayyab, a female activist and project coordinator for WIC, asserted that this campaign aims at delivering a message of condemning Balfour, which is a crime committed by Britain 100 years ago, with a women voice. She added that Britain has to atone Balfour Declaration and apologize for it.
In her turn, Amal Hmaid, Head of General Federation for Woman, thanked the Press House for hosting this event and the organizers for the great efforts, confirming that" Press House is the Palestinian House that defends the Palestinian issues.
She said," We have a clear message which is a collective awareness one, that should be carried out not only by Palestinians but also by Arab and international world, since we are living in one small village and have been suffering from the occupation for so long."
She clarified that there's accountability required from all to pressure upon Britain.
She assured that it's time for Britain to apologize to the Palestinians and recognize Palestine. " the international community and the United Nations have to force the occupation to be committed to the legislations and laws regarding the Palestinian issue." She followed
She noted that the absolute bias of the international organizations and community unequivocally demonstrated the historical oppression committed against the Palestinians. The British policy still confirms that there would be no change.
She demonstrated that what was given 100 years ago has been confirmed again the same policy and the historical oppression.
She added; " we are appealing that the Palestinians must be given rights as they are the original inhabitants and who have been struggling against the Israeli occupation to defend the nation and rights."
" the occupation is defending themselves while we are defending the land, identity and nation." She concluded.
