25/10/2017--- Press House-Palestine Organized “Face the Press” meeting, where the Palestinian Culture Minister Dr. Ihab Bsaiso and a number of Media Youth both genders to gathered to highlight the media role in Strengthening the Palestinian Culture.
At the beginning of the meeting Mr. Belal Jadallah, Chairman of Board of Directors, Welcomed the Minster Dr. Bsaiso and The presence, Confirming the importance of exchanging thoughts between Officials and Youth to discuss the role of media in Strengthen the Palestinian Culture and how to deal with it in Media.
In his turn the Minister Bsaiso Thanked Press House because they held this meeting which he consider it as a part of a very important meetings to search on the frame of how media work will serve the culture.
At the beginning of his speak Bsaiso highlighted the role of culture In the way of how Nations live.
He also added, “ Culture is one of the Resistance ways and our determination on the Palestinians Culture Including enahncing the Palestinian identity.
He continued,” with collaborative work in the Academic and Social level ,Culture opens many fields for us."
Dr. Bsaiso ensured that the Palestinian Culture exposed to many challenges and attempts to obliterate and distort, Pointing to the Special Presence the culture Achieved Internationally in creativity and in different fields despite all the challenges such as festivals and competitions in art, music, criticism and poetry.
Regarding the correlation between culture and media, the minister asserted that the correlation must be enhanced and promoted to serve a big panel of people.
He explained that the correlation must be based on getting the Palestinian talents introduced and the attempts of seriously making steps towards a real progress.
Bseeso stressed on the importance of sticking with the past and building on it to benefit from the cureent developments and make change in the future.
He added that ;" We have to hold on the culture as it reflects the Palestinian identity and what we really need and look forward.
Bseeso wishes that the reconciliation steps forward and the division that blocked the future of many end up soon, confirming;" we have to enhance the national unity and try as much as we can to get rid of the years of division and its consequences that influence the culture in Palestine.
The discussion door was opened to the attendees to ask questions and add comments.
The attendees ask the minister to provide them with cinema, printing and publication associations, and book exhibitions. Plus, they asked to lift up the restriction imposed on the talents' movement outside Gaza to participate in the cultural festivals all around the world.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Bseeso praised the role of youth, stressing on the necessity of sharing ideas and information with the officials.
