Gaza, 22/10/2017--- Press House organized a workshop about " the Role of Media in Documenting the Violations Committed against gender" in the presence of 30 fresh journalists of both genders.
The workshop was led by Mrs.Heba AlDanaf, who talked about the definitions of gender and the perspectives and knowledge of the society about it.
Al-Danaf explained the importance of recognizing the roles of gender and its definitions, as well as how they deal with such issues regarding gender.
Al-Danaf also talked about the different types of gender violence and examples from the real life.
She discussed such media issues related to gender violence, and problems as well as solutions that media can make while dealing with these issues.
Al-Danaf confirmed the role of law in promoting gender through addressing some societal and legal issues inside the Palestinian society.
During the workshop, the trainer divided the trainees into groups, where each group deeply discussed an important topic with examples.
Worth noting that this workshop is part of " Enhancing Freedom of Expression, the Quality, and the Independency of Palestinian Media" Project funded by the Swiss and Norwegian Governments.
