Press House-Palestine organized a meeting entitled " The Palestinian Reconciliation through the eyes of Writers&Journalists", where an elite group of journalists attended.
The meeting was led by five main speakers of writers and political analysts;Mr. Akram Atallah, Mr.Hassan Abdo, Dr.Atef Abu Saif, Dr.Wajeh Abu Zareefa, and Mr.Wesam Afeefa.
At the beginning of his speech, Atallah talked about the Palestinian situation during the miserable division and its consequences that we are living under.
He also added that the condition we are witnessing cannot easily removed within one stage, rather it needs more than one stage.
In his turn, Dr.Abu Zareeda asserted that the Palestinian determination can overcome all trails and the hardships the Palestinians are facing. He praised the efforts devoted to make the reconciliation go forward.
In his trun, Mr.Hassan Abdo explained the reasons that led to the ongoing division, wishing that the years of division would be removed.
In his turn, Dr.Atef Abu Saif confirmed that the Palestinian reconciliation is getting alright with the help of regional parties that contributed to helping the Palestinians.
He added that the determination of the Palestinians is really enough to pass the bad division, as the Palestinians are fully aware of the importance of the reconciliation in improving the internal Palestinian situation.
During the meeting, the discussion's door was opened to the attendees for the questions and comments.
Mr.Wesam Afeefa asserted that the indicators of applying the reconciliation is different this year due to the follow up of Egypt and their ongoing cooperation to make this reconciliation succeed.
The attendees unanimously agree that the reconciliation is a national interest, and a new hope of getting the Palestinians out of the torture hell of division.
This meeting got along with the announcement of the national reconciliation agreement in Cairo, to measure the opinions of the writers and journalists of the reconciliation updates.
Worth noting that this meeting is part of " Enhancing Freedom of Expression, the Quality, the Independency of Palestinian Media" Project, funded by the Norwegian& Swiss Governments.
