Gaza/ Monday, at AlMat’haf hall and cultural center, Press House-Palestine received the Deputy Prime Minister of Gaza government, Engineer Ziyad El Zaza and the Head of Government Media Office , Engineer Ehab Al-Ghussein as well as a number of Palestinian Journalists (male and female). The meeting was to discuss the media situation, freedom of expression and different daily life situations in Gaza.
Engineer Zaza talked about different problems and obstacles the Gaza strip suffers from including: media issues, freedom of expression, political solutions and Reconciliation as well as daily life problems faced by Gaza citizens.
Mr. Zaza gave a full briefing about the government performance, especially during the recent crisis and how the government managed to deal with it.
Mr. Zaza listened to many inquiries and questions about the problems that journalists face while carrying out their duties. He undertook to support and emphasize the freedom of expression, to solve journalists problems and to facilitate their jobs which serve the people of Gaza.
During the discussion, a number of journalists complained to Mr. Zaza about the harassments and other problems they encounter during their work in Gaza. He promised to follow up such incidents and work on solving them as soon as possible.
