The Legal Protection Unit for Journalists at Press House – Palestine (BAS) has published a factsheet on violations against media freedoms in Palestine in November 2021.

The fact sheet highlighted violations committed against Palestinian journalists (women and men) by Israeli Occupation and internal entities, in addition to digital rights violations.

In November 2021, the number of committed violations against media freedoms in Palestine has reached (50), the Legal Protection Unit at Press House has documented (34) violations committed by Israeli Occupation representing (68%) out of total violations, (4) internal violations representing (8%) and (12) digital rights violations representing (24%).

The fact sheet showed that, the distribution of Israeli Occupation violations by geographical region was (34) violations in the West Bank and no violation committed by Israeli Occupation was documented in the Gaza Strip.

Internally, the factsheet indicated that by geographical area, (4) internal violation was documented in the West Bank representing (100%) of the total number of violations.

Also, the factsheet indicated that the most prominent of violations against media freedoms during November were: preventing journalists from media coverage, injured by tear gas, injured by rubber bullets, in addition to arbitrary arrest, temporary detention of journalists, calling for investigation and an attempt to confiscate a journalist's camera.
