Gaza, 24/7/2016--- Press House- Palestine hosted a training course titled" Anti-Corruption law No(1) 2015", implemented by Palestinian Lawyer Syndicate, Right and Justice Team and Friends of International Criminal Tribunal Association at the headquarter of the organization in Gaza city.
The one-week course which included 5 lectures, was led by Hammam Skaik, Deputy Attorney General, and targeted 30 trainees of both gender from Media and Law departments.
In the first lecture, the trainer talked about the definition of anti-corruption law and commission, as well as people who are subjected to its laws. He also explained anti-corruption kind of work, how was it established, the condition of assigning the head of it, the conditions of assigning its employees, and the duration of its presidency.
The second lecture was about anti-corruption committee terms of references, and its powers, where the trainer explained the names of the assigned, financial disclosure statement, suspicion of corruption, information evaluation, corruption reporting, and accountability" From where you got this? "
A discussion was deeply led about the follows; referral to prosecution, confidentiality, disclosure procedures, abstention on filling and reserving requests, use of experts, and penalties addressed in the third lecture.
On the fourth day, the trainer discussed about the following; illegally profiteering, reporting on corruption, cooperation during reporting, penalty for failure to providing recognition, punishment for providing incorrect data in purpose of abuse, denial of access to public positions, and when corruption cases are not subjected to regulations.
Right and Justice Team concluded the training course on Sunday 24th July, 2016, which started on Saturday 16th July 2016
