Press House – Palestine received today, Thursday, January 15, 2026, Ms. Heather Sonner, the Political Affairs Officer at the Office of the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process (UNSCO).
Ms. Sonner was welcomed by the Director of Press House, Mr. Hekmat Yousef, who briefed the UN official on the organization’s activities, programs, and projects aimed at bolstering media freedom across the Palestinian territories.
During the meeting, Mr. Yousef and Ms. Sonner reviewed the current state of media freedoms and human rights in Palestine. They also discussed several key issues of mutual interest and explored ways to enhance cooperation.
