On Wednesday, March 15, 2022, Noon literary Salon, which is an Intellectual Literary Feminist Group, held a literary meeting on the topic of "Reading in a collection of chapters “Haiku Poetry” for Yusra Al-Khatib” at Press House office.
In the presence of, Yusra Al-Khatib, novelist Iman Abu Shaaban, and the salon coordinator writer Fathiya Sarsour, and a group of writers, intellectuals, writers, and amateurs.
The writer Sarsour, opened the meeting by welcoming the audience, and pointing out that the writer Yusra Al-Khatib adopted the “Haiku Poetry” approach in her writings, which is appropriate with the era of speed we live.
The novelist Abu Shaaban reviewed what the writer Al-Khatib carries in her poetry collection (chapters and more), which simulates in her poems the Japanese “Haiku Poetry” , where the birth of ancient civilization, also a well-known poetry in international and Arab communities .
In turn, Al-Khatib said that (Haiku poetry) issued by Dar al-Kalima 2021,which is a Japanese poetry considered one of the poetry of the moment and the one scene or two scenes, focusing around nature and depends on the brevity and intensification and irony, explaining that (Haiku poetry), cares about the immediate moment and leaves the future for the reader to explore.
And on Tuesday 01 March 2022, the salon held literary meeting on the topic of "Truth has another face"; the guest of the meeting was Dr. Hikmat al-Masri.
From her part, the writer Fathia Sarsour said that Dr. Al-Masri worked on developing herself since a young age until she obtained the scientific degrees that she aspired to obtain, reaching to the PhD in education.
In words to Dr. Masri, she reviewed her scientific and cultural background through the long journey of years in the fields of family, social education and others.
Noon literary salon holds continuous literary sessions throughout the month, during that, each session a novel or short story is discussed.
