Israeli army destroyed the headquarters of Press House - Palestine , located west of Gaza City, which over the past years had served as an incubator for journalists and media freedoms, and sought to improve the reality of the Palestinian media with all professionalism and independence.
Photos and videos showed that the headquarters of Press House had been reduced to a pile of rubble as a result of the direct Israeli targeting of the building, as the headquarters contained many devices and equipment for journalists who took refuge in Press House in the beginning of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
The Board of Directors of Press House strongly condemned the Israeli army's destruction of the Foundation's headquarters, which served as an incubator for all Palestinian journalists, graduates, and students of media colleges at various Palestinian universities.
Press House - Palestine is an independent, non-profit Palestinian media institution, and not a representative body, established in January 2013, through an initiative by ‘a group of independent journalists to promote freedom of opinion and expression, support independent media and provide legal protection for journalists in Palestine”, as stated on its website.
During its work, Press House - Palestine sought to "provide an incubator for independent Palestinian media to promote freedom of opinion and expression by developing the professional performance of journalists in Palestine, in addition to establishing a network of media professionals, intellectuals, writers and defenders of media freedom and Human Rights".
It is worth mentioning that on the nineteenth of last November, Bilal Jadallah, General Director of Press House, was martyred in an Israeli bombing that targeted the vehicle he was riding in Gaza City.
