At the Press House, Demands of Issuing a National Day for the Palestinian Woman

In cooperation with the Press House-Palestine, the Social Media Café' organized a celebration for the Palestinian woman in participation with 20 Palestinian organizations, and launched tweeting campaign on social media outlets under the hashtag of " The Palestinian Woman Day."

The celebration was attended by tens of Palestinian activists and Palestinian female figures at the headquarter of the organization.

Amal Hamad, Head of General Union for Palestinian Woman, demanded to issue the eighteenth of March as a national day for the Palestinian day, since Palestinian women made a lot of sacrifices during the national and societal struggle for the Palestinian liberation and Independency of the territories.

Hamad added that the Palestinian woman is able to make decisions and lead a group of males to defend Palestine.

Hamad delievered a message to the decision makers, demanding them to issue this day as a day of real struggle for the Palestinian women who are in the first line to lead societal justice and equity.

In his turn, Mr. Soltan Naser, Head of Social Media Café', confirmed that the Palestinian woman is part of the nation and political process, adding that " there must be a day when the Palestinian women celebrate in March."

Nasser said; " we have launched a national initiative to issue the eighteenth of March to reflect the violations they are always committed to and the extent of suffering they pass through."

Nasser indicated that the partner organizations will submit a demand letter for the officials to issue this day, "hoping that next year they can celebrate this special day."

In her turn, the Mukhtar Faten Harb, Head of Arab African Union for Digital Media, stated that the Palestinian women are different to other women as they are sources of generosity and struggle."

She noted that the Palestinian woman is a sample that everyone should cherish by in all fields and domains, since they are a sample of the real patience in the national and social domains.

In her turn, Andaleeb Odwan, Head of CMC, confirmed that the Palestinian woman deserves a day, when everyone praises what she is doing in order to remind the world with the origins of the Palestinian lands.
