Gaza, 10/12/2017---- Press House- Palestine held a Face the Press Meeting with the minister of labor Mr. Mamoun Abu Shahla in the presence of young journalists of both gender.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Belal Jadallah welcomed the Minister and the attendees thanking them for the presence.
Jadallah explained that this meeting aims at providing the young journalists a platform to make dialogues and discuss their personal future issues as well as get the information from its dependent source.
In his turn, Abu Shahla briefly talked about the profound issues and recent subjects in Palestine.
He stated that the salaries cut off from the old employees was to accelerate the reconciliation process.
Abu Shahla confirmed that these discounts will get back to its holders after ending the division issue.
He also noted that the administrative and legal committee will officially be off, where the employees will join the new government after its formulation.
Abu Shahla explained that the early retirement gives the youth an opportunity, saying " Early Retirement is a kind of refreshing life inside the governmental frame."
Abu Shahla talked about electricity crisis, adding that 50 mg cut off by Israel will be resumed by a week. He also explained that there's a comprehensive plan to develop the energy sector, where there will be a surplus by 2025.
He noted that the electricity station can produce 140 mg, but after it had been shelled it became able to produce only 120 mg.
Abu Shahla added; " energy company has debts amounted 4 and half billion shekils".
Abu Shahla stressed on the necessity of paying the electricity bills, saying; " we have to get 100million dollar monthly, but unfortunately we only get from 22 to 23 million dollar."
Abu Shahla stated that Rafah issue is still connected to the Egyptian side, clarifying that there's a plan to facilitate travelling process through checking the passports and bags."
Plus, he stressed that his ministry works on different levels to eliminate unemployment through improving the quality of education outputs and establishing institutions as well as training centers.
Abu Shahla expected that the youth and graduates can get benefits from lending projects, where they will be guiged to apply for the Palestinian box to get a project.
During his speech, he asserted that the employment box is the only source that rescues employment process upon the government decisions. Therefore, all organizations have to work upon the vision of PAL and in cooperation with it to guarantee the donors' grants benefits.
The minister listened to the inquires and questions of young journalists as well as their suggestions.
