Gaza - Press House
On Monday, June 6, 2022, Iman Al-Natour, a Palestinian writer and novelist, held a signing ceremony for her new book, in support of prisoners incarcerated in occupation jails and liberators.
The ceremony was organized at Press House – Palestine office, in presence and participation of a number of people interested in the affairs of prisoners and young writers.
In her speech, the writer Al-Natour stated that this book did not fully assist her in discussing all of the rights of prisoners, and she considered it a gesture of allegiance to all inmates held in occupation jails and released from them.
"Our prisoners are symbols of freedom, and the writing movements bear the greatest responsibility for documenting what they are going through," Al-Natour continues. "We do not deny what the cultural movement, with all of its institutions, may develop to support this cause."
The book "Ala Sahwet Alshams” is a collection of stories written by novelist Iman Al-Natour, and it contains a variety of stories about prisoners in Israeli occupation jails, some of whom have been released and others who are still imprisoned.
