On Tuesday, December 14, 2021, the Media Center at An-Najah National University, in collaboration with Press House – Palestine (BAS), celebrated the International Declaration Day for Human Rights, by holding a dialogue session on the topic of "Rights of People with Disabilities in Light of the International Day for Human Rights", as part of “Strengthening Free & Independent Media in Palestine” project activities, in partnership with the Norwegian and the Swiss Governments.

The dialogue session was held in the Nablus City - West Bank, with consideration of high prevention measures to prevent the outbreak of COVID 19, with participation of Mr. Samer Al Arouk "Director of the People with Disabilities Unit" at An-Najah National University and in presence of a number of journalists (women and men), students and graduates of media colleges and people with disabilities in the West Bank.

Ms. Tamara Habayba opened the session mentioning that Press House celebrates the International Days that including the International Day for People with Disabilities in conjunction with the International Declaration for Human Rights.

Mr. Al Arouk mentioned types of disabilities and presented protecting and regulating laws related to people with disabilities and their rights in community, which represented in integration and providing the suitable place for them, in addition to their right to work.

Also, he mentioned that the Palestinian media should adopt issues of people with disabilities and work on covering and publishing their issues by different ways.

The dialogue session included many participations, which focused on the necessary to work on adopting issues of people with disabilities from all community and integrating them to be suitable for their abilities.
