The literary salon “Noon” celebrates its 20th anniversary at Press House - Palestine

Gaza – Press House

On Tuesday, 01 June 2021, the literary salon “Noon”, feminist intellectual literary intellectual group, celebrated their 20th anniversary at Press House in the Gaza Strip, with participation of a group of writers, intellectuals and amateurs.

During the ceremony, Mrs. Fatheia Sarsour, salon coordinator, presented Salon Noon activities as meetings, literary and cultural seminars which were implemented during past years and included big numbers of interested people, intellectuals, poets and writers.

From her part, Dr. May Nayef, one of the salon's founders, said that this ceremony had to be presented in spite of the last Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, which lots of martyrs were killed, in addition to injuries. And she considered culture and literature a type of resistance Israeli occupation tools.

During the ceremony, artistic groups performed music and national poetries, celebrating the 20th anniversary of founding Salon Noon.

On Tuesday, June 15,2021, Noon Salon was presented a reading in story collection (Saheel Untha) which means (women neigh) for professor Mr. Khaled Safi.

The Literary Noon Salon holds literary sessions continuously during a month, which talking about short novels or stories.
