In Press House: “History of a Nation” Exhibition Embodies the Palestinian People Suffering Since Nak

Gaza, 29/01/2015 --- Press House – Palestine hosted an artistic exhibition titled “History of a Nation” for the child “Suliman Shaheen”, as a part of its continuous support to the capabilities and initiatives of young people.

 

Tens of journalists, writers, public figures, children, and the family of the artist attended the opening of the exhibition.

 

The displayed paintings embodied the history of Palestinians suffering since 1948 Nakba and till the latest Israeli offensive against Gaza.

 

The exhibition also embodied national unity issue through including the photos of Palestinian leaders and symbols. The artist Shaheen -15 years old, said: “The goal of his first exhibition is to convey the suffering of Palestinian people to the world.”

 

Shaheen provided Press House with a painting presenting the violations that took place against journalists during war, where seventeen journalists were killed during doing their job in covering war events and conveying truth to the world.

 

The artist drew a painting during the exhibition that embodied the prisoners suffering in Israeli prisons. For his turn, the journalist Saud Abu Ramadan said:” The idea of the exhibition is very creative; as it conveyed the suffering of Palestinian people and their hard reality.”

 

Abu Ramadan praised the role of Press House in supporting and encouraging creativity and innovation in all fields, ensuring that this supports the relationship between journalists, different institutions, and local community.

 

A delegation from “Culture and Free Thoughts Institution” and a big group of children visited the exhibition.
