Director of Middle East department in French newspaper Le Monde meets with journalists in Press Hous

Gaza/ Press House-Palestine organized a meeting between a number of local journalists and French journalist Benjamin Bart, head of Middle East department in Le Monde Newspaper.


During the meeting held yesterday, Mr. Bart went through his journalism experience spent in Palestinian Territories, especially between the years 2002-2011. He referred to his continuous movement between West Bank and Gaza for various reasons; he described his work within Palestine as interesting and important due to the importance of the Palestinian Cause internationally, confirming that this particular experience added a significant value to his career.


Benjamin talked about the nature of French journalism and the significant effect of Jewish French lobbying on media means, pointing out to the fact that he was criticized more than once by the Jewish lobby, due to his writings and articles that discusses the Palestinian cause.


At the same time, Benjamin denied that the administration of his organization has ever objected any media activity he had done during the nine years he worked in Palestine.


Palestinian journalists discussed the situation and challenges they face because of the Israeli oppressive conducts and refusing to allow them move freely between Gaza and West Bank.
