On Thursday, July 15, 2021, the Media Center at An-Najah National University, in collaboration with Press House – Palestine (BAS), held a workshop on the topic of "Digital Security on Social Media Platforms", as part of “Strengthening Free & Independent Media in Palestine” project activities in partnership with the Norwegian and the Swiss Governments..

The workshop held in Nablus, with consideration of high prevention measures to prevent the outbreak of COVID 19, in presence of Mr. Sedqe Abu Dhair, Director of Social Media Club, participation of a number of Journalists (women and men), students and graduates of media colleges in the West Bank.

Mr. Abu Dhair discussed the digital citizenship concept and appearance reasons of this concept, which became a necessity to study in light of enormous digital development, in addition to explain the nine dimensions of digital citizenship. This issue contributed in creating cases guided to violate the digital security and the digital privacy.

Also, Mr. Abu Dhair explained digital behavior skills which focusing on way and how to contact and communicate on digital platforms, how behaviors became more spreader at digital world and how your personal account through a digital platform can specify your identity and your real personality, where the follower can take a general impression on this person, through following the content of his account and his behavior at digital world.

The workshop included a number of participations from participants, which focused on how to use the positive part of digital development weapon and how they can protect the digital security in light of imposed restrictions by face and electronic.
