Gaza - Press House
On Sunday, November 15, 2020, Press House – Palestine(BAS) concluded a training course on the topic of "Cultural Journalism Skills", in the presence of 20 participants of a group of students and graduates of the faculties of journalism and media in the Gaza Strip.
The course lasted for 8 days (25 training hours), the facilitator of training course was Ms. Alaa Abu –Isha via ZOOM application, as part of " Intellectual journalists" project funded by the Palestinian Ministry of Culture.
Ms. Alaa Abu –Isha explained that the cultural media, includes all materials (news- reports - dialogues - articles - and even stories) that talk about the whole arts and literature, customs and traditions, even the kitchen, and the various rituals, which are related to a particular people, and their historical authenticity through the integration of the presentation of models, and the meeting of specialists with knowledge, readings and research in this regard.
During the training, Ms. Alaa Abu –Isha addressed the reality of cultural journalism and its concept in newspapers, websites and the many areas that branch out from it, reviewing a journalistic model that talks about the general treasury in the Palestinian popular cultural heritage.
During the Cultural Journalism Skills training course, each trainee prepared a media report or dialogue that was discussed and evaluated during the course.
