Press House in partnership with REFORM carries out a training day

On Wednesday, 11th.Dec.2019, the Press House Palestine -, in partnership with REFORM Foundation, carried out a training day, entitled "Stress Management and Self-Care Technologies", as part of the closing activities of the project “Fostering Social Inclusion and Gender Equality within Palestinian Society tackling gender stereotypes”.

The aim of this training, presented by the Specialist Ahmed Thabet and the Specialist Samah Mahmoud, in cooperation and coordination with the Gaza Mental Health Program, helped to enable the participants to identify the concept of psychological stress and to identify the psychological, physical and social symptoms they are exposed to, where the participants practiced a set of motor activities and drawings to apply the emotional decompression, in addition to watching visuals about managing stress and methods of coping with it, this set of self-care skills has been implemented through interactive practical exercises.

This training came with the aim of focusing on life skills and leadership skills, so that the participants can succeed in their societal roles by polishing their knowledge and skills, in addition to focusing on the psychological aspects of the participants, as this group of young people has many challenges at the Personal and societal level

It’s worth noting that this project aims at challenging discriminatory and exclusionary practices and behaviors that contribute to promoting gender inequality by providing safe spaces for marginalized groups, especially youth and women, to discuss gender-based societal issues, and to improve the exchange of experience among the various components of Palestinian society to promote the social inclusion.
