The literary Noon Salon reviews the novel 'Mai' by Wasseni Al-Araj at the Press House

On Thursday,19th Nov. 2019, The Literary Noon Salon, which is an Intellectual Literary Feminist Group, organized a literary meeting at the Press House - Palestine, west of Gaza City, in the presence of a group of writers, literary and intellectuals.

The facilitator of the meeting, Dr. Mai Nayef, reviewed the novel "Mai..The Nights Of Isis Kobia" by the writer Wasseini Al-Araj, read by Dr.  Iman Abu Shaban.

The writer Dr. Nayef, who is one of the founders of the Literary Noon Salon, reviewd the story of the novel and how Mai narrated the details of her painful life from a young age.

In turn, Dr. Abu Shaban, briefed the participants on the internal details of the novel where the novel formed a manuscript begins with its first chapter in a strong structure, entitled "In the Circumstances of the Manuscript of the Birds Nights”.

She pointed out that the writer revealed these diaries in a way that lets you hear the sound of "Mai", as if she is telling you the painful story in reality , where you can hear the wailing and whimpering, feel her pain closely and enter her only world, and this was a superior novelty of Wasseini.

Dr. Abu Shaban explained that Al-Araj tells the story of the search for the diaries of "Mai", which she wrote herself and in high literary language, which is believed to have been lost for seventy years or even that "Mai" itself burned.

The Cultural Noon Salon holds a continuous literary sessions per month, which aims to discuss novels, short stories or an artistic work.
