On Wednesday, 16th .Oct.2019, the Press House - Palestine, in partnership with Basmit Amal Association for Cancer Care, conducted an awareness workshop on breast cancer within the events of the Pink October.
The workshop targeted the workers and trainees at the Press House, where the specialist Hala Al-Kafarneh talked about the symptoms of breast cancer and some habits that we practice in our daily life, which may help in reducing the possibility of infection.
Al-Kafarneh also talked about the stages and the progression of the disease and the effects of the psychological pressure and its role in the infection and the progression of the disease, stressing on women’s need for early detection of the disease , for reassurance and prevention. This can be done by mammograms available in most hospitals in the Gaza Strip.
She also explained the self-examination method for the women and its importance, and the need to continue implementing prevention methods of breast cancer, which is important in the detection of the disease in the early stages.
