On Tuesday,1st.Oct. 2019, the Press House – Palestine organized an exchange of experiences meeting with the journalist Jayyab Abu Safia, the correspondent of Sky News Arabia in London, on the reality of the Palestinian journalist's experience in the international media, in the presence of a number of journalists and graduates of media colleges in Gaza City.

Abu Safia spoke about his beginnings in the field of the press work, as he started as a broadcaster on the "Gaza FM" radio, pointing out that he supported himself with courses and expertise, until he had the opportunity to study journalism at the largest British universities.

Abu Safiya pointed out that the journalist must make a name for himself, in order to qualify him to work in the international institutions, and give him the right to obtain his full rights while in European countries, and be treated like the rest citizens in the country.

He mentioned that the press in Britain mainly invokes ethics, before being abided by the laws, noting that there are many opportunities for the journalist to prove himself in the work field in front of the international institutions.

He explained that the person who works in the international institutions must abide by the laws governing his institution, stressing that social media is like the looking glass to everyone, which subjects to censorship in European countries, if they exploit the personal interests.

Abu Safia said that the international institutions are working to provide job opportunities based on the excellence of the journalist and the experience and knowledge he owned, in addition to his previous experience and the extent of their recruitment in the working environment.

During the meeting, the floor was opened for discussion and questions about the press experience of Abu Safiya and the extent of getting immunity of the international immunity.
