Journalists on the Front Line

University of Palestine "north Gaza" in cooperation with Press House – Palestine opened a photo exhibition under the title of "Journalists on the Front Line."

"Journalists on the Front Line" exhibition documents photographs taken by journalists Ashraf Abu Amra and Atiya Darwish of the violations committed against Palestinian journalists while covering events in Gaza Strip.

The President of the University D. Nader Abu Sharekh stressed the importance of the press photo in conveying the suffering of the Palestinian people and conveying the real picture to the outside world.

Chairman of the Press House, Belal Jadallah, thanked University of Palestine administration for its efforts in establishing the photo exhibition.

During his speech, Jadallah pointed to the need to identify those who transport the events and put their souls at risk in order to convey the image to the Arab and international world.

Jadallah stressed the necessity to provide safety equipment to Palestinian journalists so that they can perform their duties properly and to avoid any dangers that may be caused to them.

Photographer Ashraf Abu Amra thanked the organizers of "Journalists on the Front Line" exhibition confirming that he will continue to convey the image of the Palestinian people's suffering.

He added that he tried to highlight the part that is always missing for the viewer which is the journalists who transfer the event and put their souls in a great danger and sometimes death because of the lack of safety equipment.
