Campaign to Support People with Disabilities on World Youth Day

Step youth team launched an online campaign on social media to support people with disabilities on Sunday at the International Youth Day at the Press House in Gaza City.

The coordinator of Step youth team, Salim Thabit, said, "This initiative is one of the initiatives done by the team to support people with disabilities on the International Youth Day. In addition to highlighting this marginalized group, their right to live and forming a decent family, along with their right in learning and work just like anyone else in the society".

Thabit explained that the team is always implementing workshops and youth conferences to remind the Palestinian society and the responsible government bodies of these groups. Our participation today in the Press House Foundation is to support people with disabilities and to show their creativity and ideas to the public by launching many tweets through social media.

In the same context, media activist Muhannad Al-Kafafi said, "We have launched a "you complete me" campaign to support the Palestinian youth with disabilities in order to familiarize the community with this marginalized group and their right to marry and have children. We believe that these young people are as healthy as us and they have an important role just like anyone else in the society ".
